How old is freddie cowan

I saw a picture of me when I was about six, and I was wearing the same outfit [I do now]. I like durable, very stylish workwear. It was kind of quite workwear and quite American — not how I see Italy. It was fantastic. Everything was aged red leather and it was beautiful.

Italy could compete to be, if not the most stylish, right at the top. So it became less and less attractive. I see that with the French too. But the Spanish, Italians, French — more of a laissez-faire vibe. What people forget is Steve McQueen was really good-looking. He was in excellent shape.

Yes, you can wear a white t-shirt and jeans and it can be awesome, but Steve McQueen travelled with a gym. So it is in context. Marlon Brando looks good in a white t-shirt. Or just topless. The idea was there for the Berlin collection, and we wanted to do a leather jacket and we had some designs based on the one that David Bowie wore on the cover of Heroes. My dad made that for David. So they just dug it out and they lengthened the body a little bit, made it a tad more contemporary because it was very 60s.

But it was perfect. Of all the places in the world. But you can maybe see the correct next step. Well, the guys wear a lot of clothes and a lot of the ideas come from the guys.

We were in Mexico the other day and the guys disappeared to a rodeo shop and they bought these Wranglers that were kind of bootcut. And then I started wearing them. He also passes on a tip from a rockabilly legend. He uses a [vintage Roland] Space Echo which gives the compression at the front end, gives it that ping.

Vex Super Duper 2-in-1 boost. Reverb and modulation come from an Eventide H9. What are you doing? Why should it take two hours every time you want to find a sound? So this time I only took one guitar. I retain no information about gear whatsoever.

Working in El Paso meant the band also got their hands on some legendary Texas gear. Keyboardist Timothy Lanham tracked additional guitars through a Fender Tweed that used to belong to ZZ Top, while Freddie made use of a prestigious backup guitar.

He knows his stuff, but you suspect any gear talk down the pub would steer clear of brain-numbing minutiae such as serial numbers. It has its own distinctive sound, but you can really make it sound however you want it to sound. And the same thing with amps, man. Amps-wise, I like to use these amps called Swart amps. But apart from those, Fender Deluxes and AC30s. I think I might take that out on the road to drive something bigger, because I like bigger speaker cabinets.

With the ME, we got it within three seconds and it sounded amazing.
