Just keep playing well and if more then half of your games are against master players then you are on the right track. For example, back when i was promoted into masters, I was rank 1 diamond for ages i was about points ahead of anyone in my division and was within the top 50 of the region for diamond points, but it was not until i went about against diamond and low master players that i was promoted.
Of course the only reason it took that kind of win streak was because i had already played like games from bronze-diamond so it took a lot of wins to adjust my mmr enough to be promoted. Kazzamalla you can easily move up without passing most the players in the division, you just need to win your 'test' matches, see my answer below for more details — Aardvark. For me, I was terrible at first, but have gotten a lot better in a short time span by focusing on solid build orders and such, so based on the team liquid articles it sounds like the rating system can be a little slow to adapt to sharp increases in skill.
